Yom Yahweh - The Day of the Lord

Chapter 11: Mishkan - The Sactuary - The Temple in Yom Yahweh

Nebuchadnezar trashed the Temple in about 560 BC.  It was rebuilt by Zerubabel and dedicated in the time of Joshua, the High Priest and the prophets Haggai and Zechariah.

Ezra 6  :16     Then the people of Israel - the priests, the Levites and the rest of the

exiles - celebrated the dedication of the house of God with joy.

 Antiochus Epiphanes trashed the Temple in 163 BC.  It was restored and dedicated by the Maccabeans and the Feast of Dedication - Chanukah (Hanuka) -  came about;

John 10:22    Then came the Feast of Dedication at Jerusalem.  It was winter,

:23     and Jesus was in the temple area walking in Solomon’s Colonnade.

Titus of Rome trashed the Temple in 70 CE at a time when the Jewish Christian Community, previously under Ya’akov, honoured the Temple service.

The unknown author of the Letter to the Hebrews trashed the Temple, and its service of worship, in the minds of the world as of poor design, incapable, a passing phase and a mere shadow of “reality”... in his premature “New Covenant... last days” kingdom scenario.

And yet, another Feast of Dedication - another  Chanukah - is to come about in the future;

Ezek. 39:8b  “This is the Day I have spoken of.”

40 - 44    The magnificent Millennial Temple with Yahweh and the Prince in

the midst of it and of Israel.

43:26    For seven days they are to make atonement for the altar and

cleanse it (from what? Had it previously been desecrated - by the

                                    abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel and 2 Jesus?);

                                    thus they will dedicate it.

Zech. 6:12    “Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will

branch out from his place (Bethlehem Ephrata?)  and build

                                    the temple of Yahweh.

:13    It is he who will build the temple of Yahweh, and he will be

clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And

he will be a priest on his throne.  And there will be harmony

between the two (Both King andHigh Priest in the Order of  Melchizedek).

There is overwhelming evidence of the presence of a Temple at the time of the restoration of the Kingdom of Israel in the Day of the Lord.  The throne of Yahweh will be in this Temple, where He will dwell.  In what form this will be, we cannot possibly contemplate - a form beyond our comprehension.  And yet... He will have feet!

Let us visit the evidence:

        1.    Dan. 9:24  “Seventy sevens are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish

transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting

righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.”

        2.    Lev.26   :11  “I will put My dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you.

:12 I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be My

                                    people.

                            :13 I am Yahweh your Elohim…”

        3.    Isa.  2:2    In the Last Days the mountain of the Lord’s Temple will be

established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above

the hills, and all nations will stream to it.

:3    Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the

mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob.  He will

teach us His ways so that we may walk in His paths"

4. Isa.56:7 ".., for My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations. (Mark 11:17; Matth.21:13)

5.Isa.60 :7    “...they will be accepted as offerings on My altar, and I will

                                 adorn My glorious temple.”

:13     The glory of  Lebanon will come to you, the pine, the fir and the

cypress together, to adorn the place of My sanctuary; and I will

glorify the place of My feet.”  (says Yahweh, the Redeemer of

Israel, having come in Isa. 59:20; Rom.11:25-27.)

         6.  Jer. 33 :15 “In those days and at that time I will make a Righteous Branch

                                  sprout from David’s line...

:16  In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety.

:17  For this is what Yahweh says; “David will never fail to have a man

to sit on the throne of  the house of Israel, nor will the priests,

who are Levites, ever fail to have a man to stand before me

continually to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and

                                    to present sacrifices.

        7.    Ezek.37 :24 “My servant David will be king over them…

:26  I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting

                                    covenant...

:27  My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and

                                    they will be My people.

:28 Then the nations will know that I, Yahweh, make Israel holy, when

My sanctuary is among them forever.”

       8.    Ezek.39 :8    “This is the Day…”

40 :5   I saw a wall completely surrounding the temple area...

43 :4   The glory of Yahweh entered the temple through the gate facing

                                    east.

:5   ...and the glory of Yahweh filled the temple.

:6   ...I heard someone speaking to me from inside the temple.

:7   He said: “Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the

place for the soles of My feet.  This is were I will live among the

                                    Israelites forever.”

44 :3    The Prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the

gateway to eat in the presence of Yahweh.

47 :1    The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I

saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple.

The water was coming down from under the south side of the

                                    temple, south of the altar...

       9.   Joel   2   :11  ...The day of the Lord is great, it is dreadful. Who can endure  it?

:17 Let the priests, who minister before Yahweh, weep between the

                                    temple porch and the altar.

2   :27  Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am Yahweh your

Elohim and that there is no other.

3   :17 Then you will know that I, Yahweh dwell in Zion, My holy hill.

Jerusalem will be holy; never again will foreigners invade her.

:18 In that Day... a fountain will flow out of Yahweh’s house...

                            :21 ...Yahweh dwells in Zion!

       10.   Micah 4 :1   In the last days the mountain of Yahweh’s temple will be

established as chief among the mountains...

:2    “...Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the

the house of the God of Israel.”

(These verses are identical to Isa.2:1-5)

       11.  Zeph. 3 :16  On that day they will say to Jerusalem, “Do not fear, O Zion;

do not let your hands hang limp.

:17  Yahweh your Elohim is with you, He is mighty to save.”

       12. Zech. 6  :13  He - the Branch - will build the temple...”

14 :16  Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked

Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King,

Yahweh Almighty - El Shaddai, and to celebrate the Feast of

Tabernacles (for which they will have to be circumcised in heart

and in flesh according to Ezek.44:9 and Ex.12:48 – as required of

participating Gentiles at Passover…and thus, all festivals.)

:21  ...And on that day there will no longer be a

Canaanite in the House of Yahweh Almighty.

       13. Mal.   3  :1   “...Then suddenly the lord (the Branch, the Conquering

Messiah) you are seeking will come to his temple, the

messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says

                                    Yahweh Almighty.

(he “will come to his temple…”?  A temple which he previously built,

                                    before departing?)

       14. Matth.21:13 Mark 11:17;  Luke 19:46; -  from Isa.56:7.

“...For My House will be called a House of Prayer for

                                    all Nations”

(This has not happened and is part of the collective

expectation to be fulfilled, after “the delay”, in “the Day of

                                    Yahweh”.)

       15. Rev.10   :6    “...There will be no more delay.”

11  :1    I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and

measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the

worshippers there. But exclude the outer court; do not

measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They

will trample on the holy city for 42 months...” (the second half

                                    of Daniel’s 70th week)

The mere thought of a temple on Templemount in Jerusalem in this day and age must surely rate as the most explosive concept in the hotbed of the Middle East - and the world.  Ask Ariel Sharon.  The Christian world is on edge in its anticipation of  the “Anti-Christ”  - “who will set himself up in God’s temple as though he is God”, according to 1 Paul.  As the temple is a redundant concept in the mind of the Church, the only one to build a temple would have to be the “Anti-Christ.”

 The Muslim world is equally on edge for such an eventuality.  It would be the absolute desecration of the third holiest site in Islam with its Al Aqsa Mosque.  The appearance of a Temple on Mount Zion must surely be the catalyst for the most horrific tribulation.  That of which 2 Jesus said;

Matth.24  :15  “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination

that causes desolation’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel...

:21  For then there will be great distress, unequalled from the

beginning of the world until now - and never to be equaled

                                      again.”

There will have to be a temple.

The unbelieving Church will react vehemently in defiance, believing that its builder has to be the Anti-Christ.  Islam will unleash the ultimate Jihad - to get rid of the Infidel and the Jewish sacrilege in its midst.  Between them will be birthed... the Abomination that Causes Desolation.

The ultimate Crusade. The ultimate Jihad. The Holy people caught in the middle.. Will this not be the final showdown between “The King of the North” (Rome) and the “King of the South” (Mecca)?  The grand finale of the ongoing, centuries old, conflict between the two, as predicted in the last chapters of the book of  Daniel?

Will it really be an Anti-Christ figure who will build this temple?  All the evidence above indicate that it will truly be a temple of God which will come about before Yom Yahweh. According to Rev. 11:2 the outer court will be given to the Gentiles, who will trample on it and Jerusalem for 42 months.  Yet, at the completion of the 42 months - which will also be the completion of the 70th week - it will be rededicated; the Most Holy Place anointed.  This is the ultimate expectation of the 70 weeks, according to Dan. 9:24.  It will happen when the Conquering Messiah “comes to (or returns to) his temple.” (Mal.3:1).

Who then will build this Temple?

Zech. 6   :12     “...Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will

branch out from his place (Bethlehem Efrata?) and build the

                                    temple of Yahweh.

:13     It is he who will build the temple of Yahweh...”

Mal. 3  :1       “Then suddenly the lord (the master) you are seeking will come

to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire,

                                    will come,” says Yahweh Almighty.

We have already seen that “the Branch,”  the ruler of Israel, will be born in Bethlehem and then depart - Israel abandoned.  We have seen him depart as the “Man child” of Rev. 12:5  and seen him arrive in heaven in Dan. 7:13,14, as the “Son of Man”.  He then has to remain in heaven for 1260 days - time, times and half a time = 3 ½  years, which is the latter half of week 70.  Could the following be the construction of events?

The Branch will be born in Bethlehem.  When his time is ready, he will “branch out”

to Jerusalem and build the temple on Mount Zion.  All its implements and garments

are ready and waiting.  The Church will deem him to be the “expected Anti-Christ”.

Islam will judge it a mighty desecration.  All hell will break loose.  The abomination

that causes desolation will appear in the temple.  He - the Branch -will be raptured.

Satan and his fallen angels will be cast from heaven and Archangel Michael will arise

to fight for Israel - according to Rev. 12:7 and Dan. 12:1.

          THIS HAS TO BE THE MOMENT AT WHICH THE “DELAY” IS REVOKED;

with Michael having been dormant – or bound - during this time of “delay”.

Dan.12:1       “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people,

will arise.  (Where had he been all these centuries?) There will

be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning

of nations until then” (as quoted by to 2 Jesus in his Prophetic Sermon)

The City and the Sanctuary will be trampled on for 42 months by the invading

Gentiles.  After the 42 months the Branch will return, as 3 Jesus, the Prince – with

Yahweh - to his temple.  He will recover it and it will be purged  and dedicated by the

Levitical Priesthood - a new Festival of Chanukah (Hanuka) will ensue. The Most

Holy Place will thus be anointed at the culmination of week 70.

Mal. 3  :1       “...Then suddenly the lord you are seeking will come to his

                                    temple...” says Yahweh Almighty.

:3       “...he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and

silver. Then Yahweh will have men who will bring offerings in

                                    righteousness…”

Ezek. 43:26  “For seven days they (the priests, who are Levites from the family

                                    of Zadok -43 :19) are to make atonement for the altar and cleanse it;

                                    thus will they dedicate it.”

Just as the Guilt Offering of the  Suffering Messiah is retro- and pro-active, so is also the festival of Chanukah, which looks back at the second temple and forward - prophetically - to the future temple.

The Anti-Christ’s perceived “temple” would clearly have to be something else... and perhaps... it is not future at all.  After all, according to 1 Paul, his undisclosed “presence” is preventing Yom Yahweh.
